Snake Arcade — Support
Snake Arcade is a coin-op snake for iPhone: 32 mazes, one clock, and a single
run that ends when your lives do. Swipe to turn, eat every pellet, and try not to
cross your own tail.

Frequently asked
- How do I start a game?
- Tap START on the title screen. There is no world map and no level select:
every run begins at wave 1. Everything else — sound, Game Center, the rules
page — is behind MORE.
- My snake stopped moving.
- That is the cabinet rule, not a bug: a wall stops the snake dead instead of
killing it. It sets off again as soon as you swipe towards a free square.
The clock keeps running while you are stopped.
- I swiped back and the snake ignored me.
- A U-turn needs somewhere to put the turn. In a corridor one square wide
there is no room, so nothing happens. Turn at a junction instead.
- How do I score?
- Each pellet is worth 10 × the wave number, and clearing a board adds the
time left × the wave number. Clearing fast is worth far more than clearing
safely.
- Do I ever get lives back?
- Yes, one extra life every four waves, up to nine.
- The mazes look familiar after a while.
- There are 32 mazes and the run cycles back through them, but the wave
number never resets: the snake keeps getting faster and the clock keeps
getting tighter on the same board.
- Where is the leaderboard?
- The top scores use Game Center. Sign in to Game Center in iOS Settings, and
they appear on the title screen. Your own best score is kept on the device
and shown as YOUR BEST, signed in or not.
- My best score disappeared.
- It is stored on the device only. Deleting and reinstalling the app clears
it, and it does not transfer to a new device. A score sent to Game Center
while signed in stays on your Game Center account.
- Does the game need an internet connection?
- No. Everything is on the device. Only the Game Center leaderboard needs a
connection.
- Is there an iPad version?
- Not for now. The board is a fixed 16 × 22 grid so that every player runs the
same mazes and the scores stay comparable, and that grid is built for the
iPhone screen.
